In this article, we will show you how to give us all the information we need to pre-program your phone directory/speed dials when we install your new phone system.
Every phone system comes with the ability to have preprogrammed phone numbers saved into a directory. Just like the contact list on your mobile phone. This means you can have all your external numbers that you call every day, saved straight into a central directory. Storing all your numbers into the directory means you don’t have to type someone’s number every time you call them. Also, it means everyone who needs the numbers can access them in a central place.
Examples of the type of speed dials we and others store in the directory are:
- Suppliers
- Customers
- Out of Hours Numbers for Staff
Below is a guide of how to give us all the information we need to pre-program your directory when we install a phone system for you.
Directory Spreadsheet To Add Contacts To iPECS Phone Directories / Speed Dials
Step 1 – Download the iPECS Speed Dial Spreadsheet
Download the iPECS Speed Dial Spreadsheet here.
Step 2 – Add The Names & Numbers
When filling in the spreadsheet you only need to fill out two of the columns for each contact you want in your directory: –
First is the ‘Speed Name‘, this is the name of the person you want to appear in the directory. E.g. ‘Jason Bourne’.
Second is the ‘Phone Number‘ column, this is the column for the phone number.
The phone number should start with 0 or 1 and have no spaces in it for example:
- 0422333444
- 0388889999
- 1300123123
- 1800123123
You do not need to edit any other columns in the form.
Step 3 – Upload The Completed Directory Spreadsheet Back To The Infiniti Support Team
Having completed the spreadsheet please go to the link provided in your email and upload the file as directed.
It is also good practice to keep the final copy after you have uploaded it, just in case you have any last-minute ideas of contacts you want to add to the directory. Then you can give the spreadsheet directly to the technician when they come to install your phone system.
