The Yealink T58V is the most advanced handset of the range, and from our experience is designed for executives and CEOs. Our customers using the Yealink T58V love the ability to use Wi-Fi and the exceptional video quality from their own handset as they spend their days on calls and conferences to clients and colleagues.
The Yealink SIP-T58V includes the latest version of Yealink Optimal HD Voice technologies and now supports the Opus codec, which helps maximise the acoustic performance of the phone’s handset, headset and especially the speakerphone. Customers have said that the sound quality of these new handsets really is excellent - especially for those who are in noisy offices!
With so many ways of communicating, if can become confusing and stressful having to juggle multiple communication streams over multiple devices. You can bring all of your communications into one place with the T58V, as the Android 5.1.1 operating system allows you to install third party apps such as Skype and Zoom.
Gone is the need to have a special headset just for your phone handset, with Bluetooth it means you can now easily get a headset that will easily work with your handset & mobile phone. One headset, multiple phones!
Whether your office setup is closed doors, open plan or somewhere in between, the T58V can work with your office. No matter where the internet cables are in your office you can easily connect your handset using only the WiFi and power cable.
No need wire in new power points to add a headset to your desk, if you have an existing Ethernet point at your desk, your handset can power itself using that connection.
There are plenty of telecommunications systems on the market that are suited to executive users, so it is important that you research and find the system best suited to your needs. The difference between the phone system and the handsets is that although the handsets are of course an important factor, they are essentially keyboards for the phone system itself. The phone system is where a lot of the features and functionality stem from. Therefore, it is important that you first choose a phone system that suits your needs, and then choose the handset that you want to work with that system.
The Yealink handsets are best paired with the SpringCom Hosted phone system. With SpringCom Hosted, the whole phone system exists in the cloud rather than installing a physical hardware box and wiring in your office to run your phone system.
One alternative to the T58V handset, is the Yealink T56A. Although the T56A looks very similar to the T58V it is actually has less features and functionality such as a lack of camera, and so doesn’t allow you to do any video conferencing.
Looking at other systems…. iPECS eMG80
The iPECS eMG80 is a phone system from LG Ericsson. This Ericsson LG eMG80 is a good alternative to an hosted phone system. The system is a good alternative if you do not have access to high speed internet such as the NBN right now but want to take advantage of the cost savings moving to SIP can bring many businesses or you have very specific requirements that a hosted phone system with Yealink handsets may not cater to.
The eMG80 is a featured packed, top quality phone system that many of our customers use everyday . The system offers all of the common features such as voicemail, DND, day and night greetings etc and offers an outstanding range of features at a low price. There is a great range of digital and IP handsets within the iPECS eMG80 range, so there is something for every budget and business need.
Installation and update is a breeze with the fully-managed Yealink SIP-T58V. Update your features and get back to work in a flash! When the software needs to be updated to add new functionality, the handset will automatically download them from the system provider. No need to be an IT guru to make the most of the latest features!
With bluetooth capability, you can talk hands-free with a bluetooth headset. Conduct private conversations while walking around the office or sitting at your desk, keeping your hands free for multi-tasking (or drinking a coffee!).
The HD technologies ensure that every sound is crystal-clear. No missed words or dropped letters - confused conversations are bad for business, so the HD Audio will ensure that your business conversations run smoothly and professionally. Our customers love HD audio - they have told us that not having to strain to hear the conversation keeps them fresher, alert and more productive throughout the day.
The removable, two-megapixel HD camera facilitates crystal-clear real-time video conversations. No lagging or blurry images here! Our customers say that the ability to gain that extra bit of context when talking to other colleagues has been invaluable as they can connect with one another as if they are sitting in the same room.
Unlike other handsets within the range, there is only one adjustable angle for the T58V, and the stand is not adjustable. This is not a huge problem in most cases, but depending on your desk setup it could be tricky to get it setup perfectly; to take advantage of all the features this handset has to offer.
Although an excellent handset, you must consider whether you really need all of the functionality of the T58V. If you are not going to make use of the incredible features it would be better to opt for a a handset more suited to your needs, such as the T58A, that has all the same features as the V, but without a camera as standard -- but has the option to add one later if you would like.
There are so many headsets that we could recommend for you to pair with the Yealink T58V, but we don’t want to confuse you even more! So we have decided to focus on two excellent headsets - one standard option, and one premium.
The Jabra Engage 75 is a premium headset that connects to the T58V via the USB port. It connects you to your computer, and also works with your mobile phone. Our customers who use this headset have commented on its diversity, as they can use it on every device in their office.
A slightly less flashy option is the Sennheiser D10USB. It also connects to the T58V via USB, but does not connect to anything else - so if you did want to use it on the PC at times, you would have to unplug the USB and then plug it into your PC. However, it also offers a wireless headset so you can walk around on calls.
If the above options don’t work for you any corded USB or wireless USB headset will work with the T58A.
The Yealink T58V is an advanced SIP handset that can transform the way you do business. However, take into consideration how much you will use all of the features of the T58V - will this handset increase your efficiency and improve your business, or will the advanced features remain unused and complicate your daily operations?
