The LG-Ericsson 24IPE phone system (also known as the LG Aria 24IPE and LG Nortel 24IPE) was one of Australia’s most popular home office phone systems for years, simply because it was so easy to use. The LG 24IPE phone system offered many of the features you’d expect from a big brand phone system and presented them in an elegant, well thought out design.

The LG 24IPE phone system has now been replaced by the Ericsson LG iPECS pabx range.

Don’t Worry You Can Still Buy Spares And Handsets

As with most phone systems we have supplied and installed over the years we can still get all the parts and extra handsets for the LG 24IPE telephone system.  Unfortunately many of the earlier LG LKD 30 handset and LKD8 DS handset are out of production however we have them available as second hand phones.  If you bought the later model LDP 7008, LDP 7016 and LDP 7024 phones you can still buy these as new models as well as used options.

Your LG Aria 24IPE Phone System Can Still Be Serviced

One of the great features of the LG 24IPE pbx was that they just keep on working.  Unless you need new features or would like to move to VoIP and SIP trunking your 24IPE may be all you need.  Our qualified and experienced LG phone technicians continue to work on these systems to this very day.  So if you need support, programming, relocation, or spare parts just give us a call.

The LG 24IPE Phone System Replacement Is Even Easier To Use

Ease of use was perhaps the greatest attribute of the LG Aria 24IPE phone system. Just a few examples of this were:

  • Transfer a phone call with a single button push
  • Fast, simple speed dialling
  • Place people on hold instantly by hitting one button
  • Bright lights show which of your colleagues are on the phone before you call or transfer
  • Speaker phone functionality was available on the LKD 8DS, LKD 30 and the newer LDP 7008, LDP 7016 and LDP7024 handsets

The new Ericsson LG iPECS-LIK phone system and the small business Ericsson LG iPECS SBG-1000 phone system are no different.  In fact, you get the renowned LG ease of use coupled with a myriad of new state-of-the-art technologies.

You Now Get Extra Capacity For Expansion

The LG Aria 24IPE could only expand up to 14 users (depending on phone line type) and supported both ISDN 2 (basic rate ISDN) and PSTN phone lines. This sort of flexibility was ideal for the typical home office / small office in which they were deployed.  In contrast the replacement SBG-1000 phone system now expands to 24 users and can also link multiple office locations and remote users.  By comparison the larger Ericsson LG iPECS-LIK pabx can expand to 1200+ staff.

Connect Multiple Types Of Phone Lines And Handsets

The LG Aria 24IPE also supported both digital, IP, analogue and cordless phones making it incredibly versatile and a true hybrid solution.  The newer phone system models take over and now also offer mobile phone applications, IP DECT, wireless handsets (not cordless but wireless desk phones) so the range and technology is infinitely better.

The LG Handsets Are Still As Easy To Use As Ever

Another positive of the 24IPE was the handsets. They looked great, came in black and white to suit any office décor and they were reliable to boot. This made the LG Ericsson 24IPE telephone system a perennial favourite of medical centres, retailers and other home offices that didn’t need all the bells and whistles.

The new range of phone handsets to accompany the LG iPECS range are even better.  They haven’t lost that ease of use or intelligent layout.  Here are the handsets available for the new range:

You Now Get A Much More Powerful And Advanced Phone System

The problem with the LG Aria 24IPE was that other phone systems were technologically superior or offered many of the 24IPE’s ‘optional extras’ for free. Incredibly you used to pay $500 for voicemail and auto attendant functionality on the 24IPE.

The LG Aria 24IPE PBX did offer VoIP but in a very basic and quite expensive way. If you were looking to take advantage of all the benefits of VoIP, such having remote workers, linking multiple locations and enjoying super cheap calls, you simply went elsewhere.

All these shortcomings have now been squarely addressed in the new Ericsson LG iPECS range.  Voicemail, Auto Attendant, SIP trunks, Call recording, Web Based Manager Administration and much more are included as standard features!  It offers everything a modern buyer would expect and LG has refined the offering to become the largest selling phone system in Australia today.

In short, the LG Ericsson 24IPE phone system may have had its day but the replacement iPECS-LIK and iPECS SBG-1000 are taking Australia by storm.  We expect these new solutions to be even more popular, if possible, than our old friend the 24IPE.
