In this article, we will explain how the telco embargo<\/strong> period<\/strong> works and how it will affect you.<\/p>\n The telco embargo period happens every year and is an industry-wide embargo that affects every telco carrier in Australia. During this embargo period no telco provider can carry out certain types of work and other work may take longer than usual to complete.<\/p>\n Below we will outline how each type of work is affected and what you should keep in mind over the holiday period 21\/22.<\/p>\n We all need a break, and the Telco industry is no different. Every year through the holiday season the Australian Telco Network has an industry-wide embargo period where the carriers (e.g. Telstra, Optus, SpringCom, TPG, NBNco etc) don\u2019t provision certain types of new services; such as connecting new phone lines.<\/strong><\/p>\n This shouldn\u2019t be confused with phone system providers, like the team here at Infiniti.
