The iPECS LIP-9000 compromises of a range of handsets from basic to advanced level. This Mid-Range Gigabit IP Phone, the LIP-9030, sits in the middle of this scale in terms of functionality and features. The more basic handsets work with Narrow Band audio, Half Duplex Speaker Phone, a reduced number of programmable features and do not have EHSA. The LIP-9030 does have a Full Duplex Speaker Phone, Wide Band Audio and EHSA, however, the more advanced models can include colour graphics and an increased number of programmable keys.

The key difference reported by our users is this implementation of the Wideband Audio in this Mid-Range LIP-9030 and its more advanced models in the range. The Narrowband Audio used by the more basic model is the more traditional audio system. The newer technology of the Wideband is often called ‘HD voice’, as the extended frequency range of Wideband Audio results in higher quality audio with clearer sounds and an increased ability to distinguish confusing accents or background noise.

Another well-received feature offered by the LIP-9030 that is not offered by the more basic model is the EHSA. The Electronic Hook Switch Adaptor, allows the handset to electronically connect a wireless headset and phone and makes switching from handset to headset accomplished with ease at the push of a button.

With more enhanced features than entry-level handsets, yet fewer than the advanced models which contributes to the price point of the LIP-9030, many users have found this handset to be perfect for their business. The LIP-9030 is user-friendly with the buttons laid out in a logical manner- number/keypad to the left, fixed features to the right and programmable keys above.

Along with the simplicity of use, the LIP-9030 also comes with the support you need to implement and use Open VPN. The Open VPN allows you to create secure point-to-point or site-to-site connections and uses a custom security protocol for key exchange.

There are 8 flexible feature keys which access 3 pages, and so there are a total of 24 programmable feature keys. Many customers have found that this is more than sufficient to meet the needs of their business. With these programmable keys you can manage the features such as the following:
